So today, we have the pleasure of sharing some of the images of Lynda & Damon on their wedding day at 29 Private Member Club, Glasgow. This was our first wedding of the year (having taken January "off" apparently!) and it was a cracker. Armed with some lovely new lenses bought on our travels we took on a tiny wee corner of Glasgow with these guys & below are the results. A bosum buddy, best friend, loved up pair it couldn't have been more of a delight, to dander about town and infact to capture their whole day. Which was pretty much a complete joy from start to finish. Soppy, yes but we do love this job a wee bitty too much. More images to follow on all the details of the day.

Ally & Elly's Wedding ~ Lothian Chambers, Arthurs Seat, Blonde Restaurant & The Caves, Edinburgh

When Ally first got in touch about his wedding to Elly we thought he was a.) crazy and b.) slightly familiar. Turns out in Chris' dreadlocked days (oh yes) they used to gig together in mental metal bands and that Ally & Elly had the best sort of crazy plans for their day.

After an intimate ceremony at Lothian Chambers they routemastered their guests up to Arthurs Seat for a glass of champagne and the best views of Edinburgh possible. After a rock about in the wind for some pics everyone made it back down to Blonde. This gorgeous wee southside restaurant served up the best & most delicious wedding meal we've seen (& tasted). With full bellies everyone bussed it back over to The Caves for some more drinks, evening guest arriving and some photobooth action. It was lovely to see the day progress from the sweet ceremony and gather guests along the way to a full blown party.

Oh, and a fully choreographed swinging first dance secretly learned for a year which blew everyone away.

Holli & Steve - Merchant City, Glasgow Green & The Trans Europe Cafe

A Wee daunder around Merchant City on a very chilly day before Christmas. Holli & Steve are having an "All You Need is Love" Themed wedding this August at St. Andrews in The Square. Over a cosy cup of tea we heard about all the details going into the day and we can't wait to see it all come together.

Doing this job we tend to get a lot of 'life jealousy'. Lucy, an accessories designer & Martin, advertising man, had such an amazingly warm, funny and super stylin' wedding that we kind of wanted to squeeze them and steal their wee boy Bobby (who spent the whole day oogling pretty ladies, without a care in the world). I can feel a big fat blog feature coming on but in the meantime make do with a couple of sneaks of the ladies in the morning...

We had a lovely relaxed sun filled day with Lisa and Mark recently. Their wedding ceremony took place in the The Mitchell Library, and wow!what a place to get married, it is full of great spots to photograph.Surrounded by stunning architecture (and books,lots of books) we casually made our way from the top floor to the ground snapping away creating these relaxed film styled shots.
We then made our way to the Popinjay Hotel for drinking,dancing,a sweetie table and lots more photographs which we will be sure to blog in the future, but for now here is your sneak peek of the lovely Lisa and Mark.

I came across Ruche while perusing the blog "The Musings of Ondo Lady". Describing itself as a modern shop with a vintage touch I'd say their stock looks pretty spot on. Thought I would share some of the dresses I thought could make amazing bridesmaids dresses. As with all online purchases you never know what the real thing looks like till its in your hands. (Thank god for free returns at Asos) but I reckon these little beauties would make any besties happy to be your ladies on the day.

Everyone wants to capture moments, update statuses constantly in the world we live in at the moment and no-one should tell them otherwise. However it would be great to experience an "unplugged wedding" where guests can relax and enjoy the day and actually have a drink and a laugh, not looking at a screen or through a lense...

Martin + Ruth, April Fools Day, St. Patricks, Coatbridge & House for an Art Lover

Martin + Ruth found out about us through a friend who had attended a wedding we covered up in Inverness. Word of Mouth is always our favourite way to find couples as we are always all on the same page from the word go. Their e-mail started "This is not a joke!" as April 1st was the date they had chosen. Living just outside Glasgow meant that Martin + Ruth were able to pop in and see us a couple of times before their day. A super bubbly couple, we knew that photographing them was going to work out a treat. Ruth looked absolutely stunning on the day, and had such a grace about her, like "I just wear this every day". We had such a laugh meeting these guys and working with them on their day. As always it was a bummer to leave the party but editing the photos has been a delight. Congrats Martin + Ruth!

Sam + Adam, a February wedding at Ardanaiseig Hotel near Oban.

Sam & Adam were one of those precious first bookings we took. February 2011 seemed so far off both personally and in our business but as all brides will know it comes before you know it. Never having been to this part of Scotland we were both incredibly excited to get out the city and towards some wilderness way.

With Sam & Adam being based down in West Yorkshire we couldn't quite put together a meeting with them in advance of their day. Normally we like to get to know our clients well (to enable some silliness and inevitable giggling on the day) so we headed up the day before to grab a cup of tea with them and check out the venue. Ardanaiseig Hotel is without doubt one of the most spectacular venues we have been to. There is something so homey about this place despite the grandeur and luxuriousness of the décor. Having been a favourite family retreat for many years it was lovely to witness how familiar everyone was with the place.

It couldn’t have been more evident how happy both Sam and Adam and both their families & friends were that these guys were tying the knot but hopefully we can let the pictures do the talking…

We try and capture every guest with their partner +/or family at some point during a wedding day, looking beautiful and primed for the family mantelpiece. But Sometimes the only way to catch the character of your guests is to get silly. So armed with a white backdrop and spotlight we encourage your guests to get out the poses. Everyone is shy to start with but before we know it, grannies are tapping us on the shoulder asking for a pic of her and her man. So we thought we'd share some of the wonders from B + H's wedding at House for an Art Lover....

I seem to increasingly spend more time absorbed in wedding blogs of our home country and particularly those from the Us and Oz. So I thought I'd start to share some of my discoveries with our Brides who may just find something useful!

Fur Coat, No Knickers sell some gorgeous vintage frocks which they promise are normal people not vintage tiny waisted people size. Their Boutique is based in London but there is a preview of some dresses on their site.

Married last Saturday at Corteshouse near Peterhead, they met at St. Andrews University and are now both chemistry wizards in Oxford. (Labcoat dressed cake figures and a massive garden chess set just some of the tiny wonders that made their day so special.)
